WHAT'S THAT RIGHT THERE?

Andi Watson has posted the second of our two-pager. If you look close, there may be hints as to what it's for.

And the promotion continues...Yup, that's me you can hear on Fanboy Radio today. I love Scott Hinze, because the dude just digs comics. Click the graphic I yoinked from their site to go to their site, or read the press release underneath it, as it gives you the skinny on the rest of the guests and all of your listening options.

FANBOY RADIO HOSTS COMIC-SAVVY AUTHORS

Bummed about comics being pushed back a day? Fanboy Radio delivers a new episode to help ease the painful 24-hour wait. Today’s episode features conversations with three novelists with ties to comic book culture. Up first, Barry Lyga discusses his book The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl which will be released October 2nd. Then, host Scott Hinze speaks with Tom De Haven who penned It’s Superman, the paperback hit bookstores last week. The show ends on Jamie Rich of The Everlasting, in stores now, and multiple romance comics out of Oni Press.

“Lyga and Rich are two good friends that I have been eager to have back on” says Scott. “Barry has come from working at Diamond Comics and Jamie from Dark Horse and Oni – they can’t help but infuse comic-y goodness into their work. Mr. De Haven is a veteran-novelist, contributor to The New York Times and Entertainment Weekly and is definitely helping to expand awareness of the return of quality comics to the general public. His book takes the Superman mythos very seriously and really brings the character into the real world in an interesting, original way. During my summer vacation, I had a chance to read all of their work and I’m really excited about promoting these fanboy-friendly novels.”
